I am a qualified Scottish lawyer with 25 years of commitment to the study and practice of law and also a qualified Family Law Mediator and International Collaborative Family Law Practitioner.

I began my journey into law in 1998. Having previously been a graphic designer for Gateway for four years, aged 24 I felt I unfilled with my job. I decided to go back into academics. I was accepted for Strathclyde University initially on a BA Arts degree with a view to being an English Teacher. During my first year I elected to take three law classes and won the class prize in two of them. Prior to that, I believed law was for brainy people. I honestly hadn't quite realised or truly believed how capable I was.

I was encouraged and invited to join the law school by Professor Peter Robson and Professor Mark Poustie who encouraged me and to this day have my eternal gratitude for making me believe in myself. I did an accelerated law degree completing the degree in two years as opposed to the usual three. I went to to achieve my honors degree and advanced my studies further by completing a Masters by research which came back recommended for PhD.

I decided to complete my Diploma in Legal Practice and achieve my two year traineeship as required of all lawyers in Scotland. I have been a Qualified Scottish lawyer since 2006. I have fought and won cases across every jurisdiction in Scotland.

I incorporated my own law firm Sharon Collins Solicitors Ltd in July 2024.

My journey into law began with an HNC and HND in Legal Services, where I developed a strong foundation in legal principles and client support. Motivated to expand my expertise, I progressed onto an LLB Law (Hons) degree, which I am currently undertaking. My passion for family law stems from a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate complex and often challenging legal matters with empathy and professionalism.

As a Legal Assistant at Sharon Collins Solicitors, I take pride in providing dedicated support to both clients and solicitors within the firm. I am hardworking, compassionate, and driven by a strong sense of justice. My goal is to ensure that every client feels supported and heard throughout their legal journey. Being part of a firm that values advocacy and positive change allows me to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we represent.
